I already got the first three and i am due the 15k next aug. Now i want to go to one of those places so i can get my money now and the said that they can cut me a check for 39k right now. I want to take the money and run so i can pay off some bills and buy a house, but i dont know what i should do. Should i take the money pay off some bills buy a house, or wait for the payments to come over the years. I know i would loose like 19 grand but i would have the money now. Im stuck
oops…. I added one to many payments. Take back one of the 15k payments

Just wondering what people think will change because of technology. Technology has drastically affected the way we live our lives. How will it effect society and politics as we move on? Will it be a positive or negative force.
Do you think space travel, democratization of manufacturing (machines that will make you whatever you want), energy on massive scales, and possibly settlements on the Moon are things that might happen in the next 100 years?
Will liberal or conservative economic structures matter when machines do everything for us, giving us other avenues to explore? Hopefully travel and education.
But before you answer think about how much technology has changed the lives of people in the past 100 years and consider that technology doubles every 18 months (Moore’s Law).
I mean for this to be a fun question. So if you think its fun to speculate then answer it…if not don’t.
Almost every measure of the capabilities of digital electronic devices is strongly linked to Moore’s law: processing speed, memory capacity, even the number and size of pixels in digital cameras. All of these are improving at (roughly) exponential rates as well. This has dramatically increased the usefulness of digital electronics in nearly every segment of the world economy. Moore’s law describes this driving force of technological and social change in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
So yes moore’s law applies to transistors but those transistors make things work faster and preform better. I figured a dork like you would know that. Quirk! Great imagination btw.

1.You have been offered a “structured” settlement from an insurance company after being involved in an auto accident. Under the terms of the agreement, you will be paid the following amounts:
Today: $50,000
One year from today:$60,000
Two years from today:$70,000
Three years from today:$80,000
Four years from today:$90,000
You decide that you would rather receive the entire lump sum today. Using a 5% interest assumption, how much should the insurance company be willing to pay you in one lump sum today?

Basically im looking for city building games preferably middle ages or earlier that are so in-depth that there is not one factor that is over looked or at least something close to that.
Ive tried games like Caesar 3 and Stronghold but they just didnt quite cut it for me.
Im looking for a game where you have to gather your food, building supplies, and anything else that would be important to your settlement.

I would like to buy a home nothing spectacular, just for me and a 3 yr old boy. The problem is I’am currently unemployed, because I’m going to school. I have a check that comes every month from a structured settlement and child support as well! I have enough saved for a down payment and am ready to buy. Is there anyway I could buy a home without being employed. I still have an income of about $1600 per month.

Has anyone ever began monthly payments on a settlement agreement offered by a bill collector, and later the collector still took you to court for the full amount of the debt anyway? Or did the collector sell the debt to another collection office before your last payment date? Can they do this legally even if they’ve put it in writing?

In the past 10 years, nearly 3,500 demolition orders were issued but just over 100 were observed, the Peace Now group says, citing government figures.
Israel has carried out only 3% of its own demolition orders in Jewish settlements in the West Bank, Israeli anti-settlement campaigners say.
According to Peace Now, the Israeli military handed it 3,449 files on illegal buildings in settlements over the past decade but only 107 have been dismantled. A further 171 structures were evacuated by their tenants.
“On the one hand Israel promises not to build new settlements and not to develop the existing settlements… but in reality the construction works continue vigorously,” the group said in its report.

The Insurance policy is from the flight school of aircraft involved in accident. Small settlement of $100,000., after attorney fees from civil suit (which was dropped), has brought that down to half which was received. We are wondering if we need to paid state or federal taxes on settlement, and if so, on what figure. Any information would greatly be appreciated, Thank you.
